Born in Cleveland, he was the son of Gene and Bernice Jeffers. He lived in the Mogadore/Suffield area most of his life.
Mr. Jeffers was a civil engineer for the State of Ohio until he retired.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid sailor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, to whom he was married 51 years; daughters, Tanya (Dave) Guigon of Jamestown, N.Y., Terri (Mike) Roland of Marion; and two grandchildren. His brother, William, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home in Mogadore, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Janet Lowery officiating. Military services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
