Born July 15, 1918 in Barnesville, he was the son of Herman Lallathin and Ethel Yost. He was a Ravenna resident since 1950.

Mr. Lallathin owned and operated Ravenna-Kent Lawn Service and also worked in construction.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the Ravenna VFW Post No. 1055.

Survivors include his wife, Aleta (Stacy), to whom he was married for 30 years; sons, Stephen "Chuck" (Doreen) of Hiram, Jimmie (Dorothy) of Streetsboro, and William (Charlotte) of Ravenna; daughters, Patricia (Dick) Youngblood of Shalersville, Rita of Rogersville, Tenn., and Peggy Brewer of Shalersville; stepdaughter, Joyce Toy of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. His brothers, Walter and Clarence Stacy, sister, Edith Thomas, and five grandchildren died previously.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Holm officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
