John Gearhart

Born March 27, 1911 in Grampain, Pa., he was the son of George and Mary (Beam) Gearhart. He was an area resident most of his life.

Mr. Gearhart worked in the maintenance department at Goodyear for 30 years until retiring in 1973.

Survivors include his wife, Edith (Guiher); son, Kenneth (Sue) of Ft. Payne, Ala.; daughter, Charlotte (William) Camp of Brimfield; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jake of Pennsylvania; and sister, Kathryn Bennett of New Lime.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Kent Chapel. A private service for the family will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Northlawn Memorial Park.
