Born Feb. 9, 1918, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of Charles and Maude (Moore) Carder. A former Kent resident, she moved to Sidney in 1996.
Mrs. Denning was a secretary for Strimple Insurance Agency in Kent for many years. She graduated from business college and was an avid bowler who loved walking and exercise.
Survivors include her sons, Richard of Sidney and Clifford of Milwaukee, Wis.; daughter Linda Evans of Chandler, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters Delma Adle of Detroit, Mich. and Lorena Albatys of Chatham, Ill. Her husband, Clifford, whom she married Oct. 13, 1940, died in 1978.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, Kent, where services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home handled arrangements in Sidney.
