RAVENNA, OH - JoAnn S. Lowry Haskins passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Meritis Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born on August 31, 1936, in Canton, OH, she was the daughter of the late James Everett Boyle Lowry and Pauline Edna Haskins.
She was a graduate of McKinley High School in Canton and worked as a secretary prior to her retirement. At the time of her passing, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ravenna.
JoAnn was married to Richard E. Huffman and later to Charles Richard Haskins.
She is survived by two children: Jodi Clapp and Charles Haskins; grandchildren: David T. Clapp, Jamie Clapp, Jessie Clapp and Samantha Clapp; brothers James W. Lowry and wife Mattie, of Hagerstown, MD, and William D. Bell of Canton, OH. Also surviving are four nieces, four nephews, and thirty great-nieces and great-nephews in Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana and California; and a sister-in-law: Kathy Chell of Ravenna. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Bogie. Friends will be received at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ravenna, OH, from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17th with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dan Caruso officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made in JoAnn's name to the Portage Animal Protection League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
