Vivian L. Sauner, age 95 of Randolph, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born October 31, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late John W. and Nora E. (Ankrom) Reed.
Vivian was primarily a homemaker, but also worked at Goodyear Aerospace for 17 years. She truly had the gift of friendship, and was considered as a second mother to many.
She is survived by her sons: John R. (Betty) Sauner Sr. and Tim L. (Olivia Agnello) Sauner both of Rootstown; grandchildren: Denise (Dale) Sloan, Debra (Larry) Bailey, John (Chris) Sauner Jr.; great-grandchildren: Lauren (Ryan) Hurley, Daniel Sloan, Adam (Amanda) Bailey, Jennifer Bailey, and Natalie (Jeremy) Dixon; as well as her great-great-grandchildren: Darwin and Avarie, her brother, Larry "Bud" Reed, her sister, Maxine White, and her step grandchildren: David Garner and Alan (Theresa) Garner and their children, Audrey and Olivia.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Sauner and her son, William Sauner.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
