Wilda I. Allen

Wilda I. Allen 86 of Ravenna passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born January 4, 1927 in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia to the late Floyd W. and Ethel Mae (Allen) Riffle.

Wilda has lived in Ravenna the past seven years and was formerly of Akron, Ohio. She was a member of the Akron 1st Church of the Brethren and the Order of the Eastern Star Ravenna Chapter #46. She was a former girl scout leader and was a member of the church choir.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Kenneth M. Allen whom she married July 24, 1954, her children, Kemberly (Chip) Cipriano of Ravenna, Nancy (William) Binns of Cincinnati, her grandchildren, Jessica and Morgan Cipriano, Scott (Tammy ) Binns, Tia (Michael) Peters , Kevin (Mary) Johnson, Layla Robinson, ten great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, close friends Becky & Ricky Swartz, her best friend, Wilma Nelson and her loving dog, Noel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Johnson, and sister, Marjorie Williams.

Calling hours will be from 4 PM Thursday, January 24, 2012 until time of Eastern Star Services at 6:00 PM with funeral services following the star services with Pastor Gary Lorenz officiating at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes, Ravenna Chapel. Burial will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. The family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, RMH Hospice or the Akron 1st Church of the Brethren. The family would like to especially thank Gina and Brenda for their kind and compassionate care and the rest of the Hospice staff for the care that was shown to Wilda.
