Ronald L. Dunkin

MANTUA-AKRON

Ronald L. Dunkin, 68 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Friday January 25, 2013 in Akron, Ohio. Ron was God's Gift to Us on February 23, 1944 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of the late Marion and Margaret (Stokesberry) Dunkin.

Ron had resided in the Mantua area from 1987 until moving to Georgia in 2000, returning to Akron, Ohio in 2012. He had been employed by Windstream Communications as a Central Office technician retiring in 2009 after over 40 years of service.

An avid reader, he enjoyed working with computers, was skilled at woodworking, yet Ron will always be remembered for the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren who he loved so dearly. He attended The Chapel in Akron, and was a man whose faith was as large as his caring smile.

On June 19, 1965, he married Ginny L. (Behm) Dunkin who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Rodney (Lori) Dunkin of Mantua, Michelle (Robert) Miller of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, brother Dr. David (Carolyn) Dunkin of Marysville, Ohio, sister Edith Jeffrys of Groveport, Ohio and his loving grandchildren Tom, Ben, Amy, Erin, Sara, Sam, Will and Emily.
