Clarence J. Kaminski, 85, passed away on February 4, 2013 at St. Anthony's Hospice, Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Clarence was born in Mantua, OH on June 26, 1927.
He graduated from Shalersville (OH) High School, was a long-time resident of Seven Hills, OH, and lived in Henderson, KY since 1983. Clarence attended John Carroll University and Case Institute of Technology (Case Western Reserve University) and worked in a variety of technical, engineering, sales, and supervisory roles. Employers included: Interior Steel Products, AW Hecker, TD Fran Co., JE Doyle Co., Polychrome Corp., and Eaton Corp. He was transferred with Eaton from Cleveland, OH to Henderson, KY in 1983, and retired from Eaton's Axle Division Plant in 1993 as the Supervisor of the Tool Room and Tool Design.
Clarence was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, KY, and the Union of Poles in America. Clarence enjoyed golf and baseball. He played in Eaton's golf league and the Senior League at Henderson Municipal Golf Course.
Clarence's surviving family members include: his wife of 63 years, Margaret (nee: Fassnacht); his son, Michael Kaminski, daughter in law Beth, and grandchildren, Kelly, Erin, and Avery of Moon Township, PA; his brother, Daniel Kaminski, and sister in law, Peggy of Brimfield, OH; his sister, Nancy Duquette of Streetsboro, OH; brothers in law: Robert Fassnacht of Mogadore, OH and Jerry Fassnacht of Navarre, OH; sisters in law: Dorothy Kolm of Canal Fulton, Irene Porter of Canton, OH, Elaine Hutchins of Gassaway, WV, Norma Jean Zugaro of Sandusky, OH, Pat Bittaker of Uniontown, OH, Phyllis Wagoner of Akron, OH, and many nephews, and nieces. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Genevieve Kaminski.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 10th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and Monday February 11th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, 9781 Page Road, Streetsboro, OH. A Prayer Service will be held at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home at 11:00 am Monday by Father Pat Ferraro, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery, State Route 14, Streetsboro, OH.
