Becky Lou Gladish

Becky Lou Gladish, 75, of Ravenna, Ohio, was received by her savior on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John, two daughters, Kathy (Mark) Simone and Ann Jensen and a sister, Sandra. She was blessed in life by six grandkids and five great-grandkids.

A talented artisan, Becky was equally accomplished in piano and vocal music as well as a painter, quilter and crafter. Other creative endeavors included baking, round and square dancing and sewing.

A graduate of Bentleyville High School in Bentleyville, PA, Becky completed her professional training at the Green Cross Nursing program. An avid traveler, she and Jack wintered 19 years in South Texas. Becky will be remembered for her caring heart, storytelling and her love for her family.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, 207 N. Munroe Rd., Tallmadge, Ohio from 12:00 P.M. until the 1:00 P.M. Memorial Service officiated by Dr. Barry French.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the nursing staff of the Akron General Oncology Treatment Center for the excellent care and compassion given to Becky.

I was so sorry to hear about Becky and even sadder that I can't be there on Monday for the services. I know that these will be trying and lonely times for you Jack, just stay strong and when your mind drifts, force it to go to the wonderful times you had together. That helped me. My deepest sympathy, Doug
