Jennie Tinker, 90 years of age, passed away Tuesday February 26, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Center in Warren, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Guzel) Zagar, Sr.
Mrs. Tinker grew up in the Cleveland Colinwood area, and had been a resident of North Bloomfield the past 50 years. A homemaker, Mrs. Tinker worked for many years with her late husband Charles on their family farm in North Bloomfield, where she also enjoyed her time spent gardening. She was a member of the Blue Stars.
On January 31, 1948, she married Charles F. Tinker who preceded her in death on March 8, 1997. She also was preceded by her brother, Frank Zagar, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy (Rita) Tinker of Newton Falls, Ralph Tinker of Columbus and Larry Tinker of Charlotte, North Carolina, her grandchildren, Ryan Tinker, Renee Koehrsen and Russell Tinker and her great-grandchildren, Lydia, Malia, Gabrial, Riley, Olivia, Danica, Aria and Brooklyn.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St.Rt. 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Daniel Houck will officiate, with her final resting place to follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio.
