William Owen "Bill" Ripley

William Owen "Bill" Ripley, age 68 of Edinburg, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013.

He was born September 25, 1944, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Paul S. Ripley and Dorothy J. Pearson.

Bill grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School. He worked as a machinist with Gougler Industries until his retirement in 2008. Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed boating, waterskiing, fishing, camping, his red truck, and playing the lottery.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Osterland) Ripley, son, Robert William Ripley and his wife Tracy Lash Ripley, and daughter, Brenda J. and her husband Todd Neil Yoho, as well as his sister, Rita and brother, Paul. Bill was also the proud grandpa of Robert Rian, Kearston, Loren, Corine, Reyna, and the newest member of the family, Bryce Owen.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Lewis Ripley, and his sister, Sandra Glenn.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated by Pastor Susan Woodall at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, UCC, 4022 State Route 44, Rootstown, OH 44272.

So sorry for your loss. First thing that popped into my mind was when Rob did the "wave" dance and Bill showed me the "short wave"...lol Many good memories watching Bill get ****** when I was standing there and he found out something Rob had done........"sheez Robbie....what were you thinking?" He always stayed calm...at least when I was around. Rob deserved to have his *** beat and Bill just kept loving him unconditionally! Even after all these years, I still look over when I drive by the house....won't be the same now. Steve

I worked with Bill for 20 years at Gougler Ind. He was a very nice guy , I liked him a lot. I am sorry to here of his passing.
