Dennis L. Shaffer

Dennis L. Shaffer, 75, of Middlefield, entered eternal rest Thursday morning, February 28th, 2013 at Briar Hill Health Care. He was born April 21st, 1937 to the late Russell and Ruby Shaffer.

Dennis married Beverly Dayton on February 20th, 1954. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, over the road truck driving, decorating for Christmas especially his village, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 59 years; children, Deborah (Gary) Sakmar, Cynthia (Daniel) Liska, Timothy (Mary) Shaffer, Laura (Glen) Latimer; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters; and many friends. He is preceded in death by 1 brother.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD AT 2 P.M., SUNDAY MARCH 3RD, 2013 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD. Family and friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Saturday, March 2nd at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in Auburn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Dennis' name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., 44110.
