Merle Richard Mollenkopf

Merle Richard Mollenkopf, Kent's "Poet", died Feb. 27, 2013 peacefully at home in Kent.

He leaves his wife, Joyce, two sons, Mark (Katrina), Todd (Gabriela), two granddaughters, Isabella and Ariana of the Czech Republic, two brothers-in-law, Jim Koehler and Roger Lewis, two sisters, Wilma Brittain of Hughsville, PA and Velma Hains of Lancaster, PA and their families and a daughter, Debbie, by a previous marriage and her family.

Merle's love for poetry made him renown in Kent.

A memorial service is planned for the Kent Stage later. Condolences may be sent to 515 West Grant St., Kent, OH 44240.
