Mike Greer

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Mike Greer, 59, died March 10, 2013.

Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and had retired from the Stow Fire Department as a firefighter and medic in 2000. Mike completed his Peace Officer training, was a member of the Stow SWAT Team, had served as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Mantua and was active as a Trailblazer with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Faith; sons, Douglas Rembold (Katie Gaidek), Christopher Greer (Christiana Connor); granddaughters, Julia, Madeline and Evelyn Rembold; father, James (Ora) Greer; siblings, Jeanne Markley, Patrick (Jo Ann) Greer, Kevin (Laurie) Greer, Sue (Greg) Ross, Paula Grady and Julie (Lewis) Gray.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, where Pastor Dave Brunelle will conduct service Thursday 2 PM. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Oncology Department at Akron General Medical Center.
