Shirley L. Gemberling, 85, of Kent, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She was born January 7, 1928 in Vandergrift, PA to Charles H. and Edna (Ord) Clark.
She was a 50 year member of the Olive Chapter OES. Shirley was very artistic especially, sewing, gardening, pottery, jewelry making and painting. She was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Red) Ball of Key West, FL, Debbi Paoloni of Kent and Sandi (Tom) Melucci of Kent; grandchildren, Michael (Shannon) Michaud of Key West, FL, Lee Melucci of Kent, Danny (Danielle) Melucci of Lakewood, Chris Burrows of Myrtle Beach, SC; great grandchildren, Dale Michaud, Dylon Michaud, Brent Freeman, Brandon Freeman and Rocco Melucci; brothers, James Clark of Kent and Warren "Dwight" Clark of Massillon. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Waffle; second husband, Roy A. Gemberling; parents, Charles H. and Edna Clark; sister, Millicent Lowther.
Calling hours will be held 7-9 PM Wednesday, June 26th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 27th with Rev. Doug Denton officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
