Steven Gale Dennison, 61, of Rootstown, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013.
Steve was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 9, 1951. Mr. Dennison spent over 28 years in the rubber industry in management and most recently retired from Portage Precision Polymers. In his spare time he liked taking his dune buggy off road in the hills of southeastern Ohio and enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and camping. Steve also spent time woodworking and enjoyed his hobby of making homemade wine and beer.
Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen, and his children: Kym (Dean) Ballentine, Chris (Elaine) Dennison, and Jessica Stoneberg. He also leaves his grandchildren: Kristen & Brooklyn Dennison, Riley & Emily Ballentine and Robert David Dennison. Surviving also is his mother Faye Kwasny, brothers: Thomas (Schannon) Dennison and Keith Dennison and sisters: Lucina (Trent) Burkey, Cheryl (Sean) Pragnell and Brenda Shifflet. Steven also will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Milton G. Dennison, his brother Joseph Dennison and two grandchildren.
Cremation as taken place and the family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. A private celebration of Steve's life will take place at a later date.
