Lois A. Hopkins, 87 years of age, passed away Saturday October 26, 2013 at The Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna, Ohio. Lois was born on October 19, 1926 in Mantua Township, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wiliam F. and Ruby L. (Boone) Turner.
A homemaker, she had been a lifetime Mantua resident. A member of Portage faith United Methodist Church, she also had been very active as a member of American Legion Post No. 193 Auxiliary, the Daughters of America and the Ladies Cemetery Association of Mantua Township. Crafts and sewing were some of her favorite pastimes.
Survivors include her daughters Linda (William) Zoller of Mantua and Cathy (Jim) Humr of Maple Hts., her brother Dale S. (Thelma) Turner and sister Arlene Finley both of Mantua, grandchildren Ron (Deb) Zoller, Barky (Angie) Zoller and Leon Philpot, and great-grandchildren Ryan, Riley, Robert and Elizabeth Zoller and Erin Philpot. She was preceded in death in 1952 by her husband Leon Hopkins and by her sister Ila Powell.
Funeral services will be Wednesday October 30, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Cindy and I have fond memories of Lois from our time at Portage Faith UMC. May the Lord continue to make His presence felt.
