Ann M. Davis, 93 of Ravenna went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2013. She was born in Weston, WV, on April 24, 1920. She attended Bethel Baptist Church in Ravenna. Through the years she was active in Child Evangelism and taught Good News Clubs. There were many things she enjoyed such as gardening, cooking, baking, and especially sharing homemade pies and cookies. She also loved flowers and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Her family was very important to her and she loved them dearly, but her first love was for Jesus her Savior. She loved sharing the plan of salvation and praying for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra (James) Brown of Streetsboro, two sons, James (Sheila) Davis of Hartville, William (Sandra) Davis of Ravenna, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brown McEwuen, her husband of 61 years Eugene O. Davis, brothers, Edward McEwuen, James McEwuen, sisters, Geraldine Ellis, Katherine DiMaria, and Margaret Flanagan. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the excellent care and the love shown to their mother by the Robinson Memorial Hospice nurses and other staff members. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 PM. Pastor David Ballert will be officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Ravenna. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Robinson Memorial Hospice.
