Gerald (Gary) T. Edick
Gerald (Gary) T. Edick, at the age of 80, passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer on December 11, 2013. Gary was born on Sept. 3, 1933 in Garrettsville, Ohio. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen; a sister Jackie Janka and daughter Vicki (Tom) Edick from Cleveland, Ohio; daughter Sheri Vest, grandson, Ryan and son Colin (Laura) Shea from Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Conni (John) Thomas and grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren and Kelley from Keller, Texas.
He graduated from Kent State University in Ohio in 1955 where he entered the Air Force ROTC program and was a charter member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After spending five years as an U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, he worked for over forty years in the sales, marketing and distribution fields. Later, he became President of the Franklin, Tennessee Cool Springs Kiwanis, was Past Commander of Brentwood Post 156, JROTC Chairman of the local Military Officers Association of America and was an active real estate member of the Williamson County Realtors Association.
The funeral will take place in Tennessee and a service will be held in Garrettsville, Ohio at a later date. The family requests that donations be sent in lieu of flowers to the Justice Hyde Building Fund at the Grassland Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2419 Bethlehem Loop Rd., Franklin, Tn. 37069
