Carl J. Feddor

SHALERSVILLE

Carl J. Feddor, 73 years of age, became Our Gift to God on January 1, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, in Cleveland, Ohio. Carl was God's Gift to Us on July 8, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late John and Catherine (Scypta) Feddor.

A resident of the Shalersville area since 1979; he had been employed as a truck driver for Fisher Foods retiring in 1986. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua, serving as an usher, as well as offering his assistance whenever called upon with any church activity. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Carl held membership in Mantua Council No. 3766 Knights of Columbus. While he enjoyed baseball and football, Carl will forever be remembered by family and friends as his "Special way of Socializing" which included a great sense of humor, and a smile that was as large as his heart. To know Carl, was to love him!

On September 14, 1963, he married his devoted wife Mary Ann (Ferrari) Feddor who survives at their home. Also surviving are his beloved children John C. (Leslie) Feddor of Hiram and Blanche (Carl) Stanley of Rootstown, his dear sisters Dorothy Feddor of Parma and Jean (Ronald) Jeglie of Boyton Beach, Florida, and his loving grandchildren Sarah, Johnny, Bethany and Amber.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, State Route 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, where prayers will be said Saturday at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday January 4, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, with Full Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.
