Paul R. Staab, age 76, of Rootstown, died Monday, January 13, 2014. Mr. Staab had battled Parkinson's disease since 2000.
He was born December 26, 1937, in Akron, Ohio the son of Paul and Laura (Bunce) Staab. Mr. Staab was a truck driver for over 40 years and enjoyed seeing the country in his travels. He enjoyed his family, loved working on cars, going out to eat and watching movies with friends, playing miniature golf and playing poker. In addition to his family he loved spending time with special friends, David and Karen Marlow of Alliance.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Mary Lou (Rhinehart) Staab, children: Paul (Barbara) of Arizona, Mark, Jim (Wanda), Todd (Sandy), Michael J. (Tami), Michael Paul (Micki) and daughter, Teri, all of Ohio. Brothers: David Staab and Allan (Ginger) Staab, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Rhinehart, brothers-in-law: Joe (Betty) Rhinehart, Ron (Janet) Rhinehart and Mark Rhinehart and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Roni, brothers-in-law: Jim, David and Larry.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received Thursday, January 16, from 4 - 6 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio.
The family would like to thank Hospice and the Woodlands at Robinson, especially, Bobbi, Nikki, Meghan, Cindy and Shirley for all their caring and support. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
