Nancy Watters Wickham, 74, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Friday, January 17, 2014, after a long illness. She was a graduate of Ravenna High School, of which her father, Wayne E. Watters, was a long-time principal. She received degrees in English from Hiram College and Kent State University, and taught English at Kent State, Ohio Wesleyan University, and the University of South Carolina before her marriage. Later, she received a fine arts degree in printmaking from the Atlanta College of Art, and taught there for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Rice Wickham, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Edward Watters, her mother, Virginia Ryder Watters, and her brother, Gordon Wayne Watters. A committal service will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, OH.
