Lori (nee Julia) Kesling, age 51, went home to be with the Lord after a sudden illness. She was born August 3, 1962, in Ravenna to John Julia and Phyllis J. (Hutzel) Griffith.
Lori grew up in Rootstown, Ohio. She was a caregiver and a friend to many. She retired from Eastpark Restaurant in Ravenna after many years of waitressing. Lori attended Southington Baptist Church.
Lori traditionally did "God Projects" for others such as coordinating mitten trees and collecting coats for the less fortunate. She also put flower vases and notes on strangers' porches and prayed for many.
In her younger years, she used her voice to sing gospel and country songs and won singing contests. She could "out fish "anyone and loved to camp. She had a heart of compassion that also led her to rescue many animals. She was a great bargain hunter and brought humor into nearly every aspect of life. Her greatest desire had been to draw others towards Christ.
Lori is survived by both of her parents, John Julia of Ravenna and Phyllis Griffith of Kent.
She leaves behind her husband William "Bill" Kesling. Daughter: Kayla of Randolph, Step-Daughter Bridget of Cleveland and Step-son Chad of Windham. The apple of her eye was her granddaughter, Riley Harper. She also leaves sisters: Pam Julia Calvin and Lisa Julia Torres, both of Ravenna. She will be missed dearly by her nieces and nephews, Katie Bobick, Timothy Calvin, Angela Myers, and David Hahn. As well as her aunt, Anna Marie Julia and her children: Karl, Kim, Kyra and Kris Kaiser.
