On February 5, 2014, Margaret Genetta Webb, 96, was greeted in heaven by her Lord Jesus and her husband of 67 years, James Morton.
She was born in Akron to Willie and Emma Vest on January 25, 1918. Margaret leaves behind six children: Margaret Peach (Larry) Schilmiller of Kent, Trudy (Tyrone) Neff of Randolph, Nancy (Christopher) Kline of Rootstown, Morton (Joyce) Webb of Randolph, Ruth (David) Davis of Randolph, and David Webb. She will also be missed by her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Margaret was always a worker. She had been employed at Goodyear and retired from Clarkins Department Store in Kent. Margaret and her husband farmed over 100 acres. She was a dedicated working member of the Randolph United Methodist Church, known for teaching Sunday school for over 40 years.
Margaret enjoyed ceramics, and in her later years she was devoted to reading her Bible daily, knitting, crocheting, and flower gardening. Margaret was a prayer warrior until the end. She will be remembered for her love of family, neighbors, and many friends, all who loved her in return.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 9, 2014, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Reverend Karen Drotar will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Randolph United Methodist Church, 4078 Waterloo Rd., Randolph. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
