Homer Alfred Gregory, 80, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014.
Homer was born in Webster Springs, W.Va. on February 5, 1934 to parents Morgan and Leo Gregory. Homer was retired from White Rubber Co. in Ravenna after completing 43 years of service. He liked to hunt and fish in his younger years and really enjoyed sitting around campfires and keeping them going. He loved to work outdoors and especially cutting wood. Along with working at White Rubber, in his spare time, Homer enjoyed doing lawn care for many years and the wonderful people he met while taking care of their property. He was a past member of the Rootstown Sports Boosters.
Homer is survived by his children: Frank (Candice) Gregory, Sharon (David) Skidmore, Homer A. "Butch" (Nancy) Gregory, Terry Gregory and adopted son Mark (Sandy) Nutter. He also leaves his grandchildren: Ann, Ohm, Nuey and Brian Gregory, David and Clint (Allison) Skidmore, Joe (Andrea) Gregory, Oksana Gregory, Melanie (Adrian) Gaytan, Lena (Jeff) Frankenfeld, Mandi (John) Oliver and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Homer will also be sadly missed by his sister Orva Armentrout and his best friend Louise Marstiller.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, his son Robert and 8 siblings.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna from 6:00pm until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28th pastor Jim Roma officiating. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.

I didn't know Mr Gregory well but went to school with Frank and knew Sharon. Our thoughts are with each of you and enjoy all the fun memories of growing up and spending time with your Dad and Grandfather. Mary Schwab
