Kenneth W. Hopperton

Kenneth W. Hopperton, 86, a Cape Coral, FL resident for the last four years, formerly of Aurora, OH, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Cape Coral. He was born September 10, 1927 in Cleveland, OH to Edward and Freda Hopperton, now deceased.

Ken was a US Army Korean War veteran. Ken enjoyed polka music and German culture, and after retiring from American Spring & Wire, he spent time touring Germany.

He is survived by his son, Alan Hopperton and his wife Bernadette of Concord Township, OH; a step daughter, Patsy Lacey of Cape Coral, Fl.; a step son Wayne Garris of Palm Harbor, FL a sister, Evelyn Stroud of Cleveland Heights, OH; five grandchildren, Jessica, Kelly and Jason Hopperton David Kisley; and Heather Garris as well as three great grandchildren, Audrianna Brody and London.

Ken was preceded in Death by his wife, Beverly Hopperton in 2009; a son, Jeffrey K. Hopperton in 2012; as well as two half brothers, Joseph Hopperton and Edward "Bud" Hopperton.

No formal services are planned in Florida. Services in Ohio including military honors will be held at a later date to be announced via MullinsMemorial.com
