Vivian Marie Boles, 86, of Palmyra Township, with her family by her side at her residence, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
She was born April 2, 1927 in Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Melvin and Chloe (O'Toole) Thornton. Vivian was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. Vivian was a faithful servant to the Lord for many years in the children's ministry and church choir at Liberty Bible Church, finishing her days as a faithful servant at the New Testament Baptist Church. She loved going to church, reading her bible and enjoyed camping, plastic canvas and doing cryptoquote puzzles.
Vivian is survived by her son Dan (Donna) Boles of Diamond and daughter Debbie (Phil) Blankenship of Palmyra. She is survived also by her brother Ashby (Wanda) Thornton, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James G. Boles, son Michael Boles, her grandson Klinton Boles and her siblings: Betty Wade, Hilda Bowman, Aubry Thornton and Bob Thornton.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortight-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 and also from 10:00 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. Celebration of Life service officiated by Pastor Bob Burgess on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the New Testament Baptist Church, 3583 St. Rt. 59, Ravenna.
