Ronald John Burr, Jr.

Ronald John Burr, Jr

Ronald John Burr, Jr., 49, of Kent, Ohio passed suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio. He was surrounded by the love of his family and close friends. Ron was born on January 7, 1965, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Ron Burr, Sr. and Margaret M. Waris Burr.

Ron was raised in Leavittsburg, where he graduated from LaBrae High School in 1983. He continued his education and graduated from Kent State University. He has remained a resident of Kent for the past thirty years.

Ron was passionate about music, art and travel. He frequently visited friends in San Francisco and New York City, as well as living for four years in Madrid, Spain. He touched many lives across the world.

His travels also led him across the back roads of Ohio, searching out vintage clothing, antiques, things unusual or just a good story. He met many dear friends along the way.

His constant smile, enthusiasm, kindness and unique sense of aesthetics were treasured by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by many who loved him dearly.

Memories of Ron will be carried on by his father, Ron Burr, Sr.; his sister, Maria Burr-Walter and her husband, Erik Walter; his beloved nephew and niece, Luke Walter and Isabel Walter; his close friend and partner, Judy Tomkin; his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ron was preceded by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Burr on March 4, 2014.

A celebration to commemorate Ron's life will be held at The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio in late April with the time and date to be announced.

Arrangements for Ron were entrusted to the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
