Pauline L. (Farrar) Clark

Pauline L. (Farrar) Clark, age 99, passed away, Saturday, March 22, 2014.  She was born December 11, 1914, in Jackson, Ohio, the daughter of Ora and Garnett (Sheward) Farrar. 

She married Reverend John L. Clark on August 19, 1938.  She spent the next 40 years being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and supporting her husband's ministry.  Reverend Clark served as the pastor of the Ravenna United Methodist Church from 1958 - 1961.  They both served many churches in northeast Ohio.  After her husband's death in 1979, Mrs. Clark remained an active member of the church.  She most recently was a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church in Damascus, Ohio. 

She loved her family, family camping and counseling at church camps.  She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. 

It was her strong faith that helped her endure the pain she suffered the last several years. 

Survivors include her children: John L. Clark Jr. (Caroline) of Jamestown, WV., Edwin P. (Linda) Clark of Ravenna and Charlotte H. (Gerald) Manley of Westerville, Ohio.  Her sister: Mary Stewart of Medway, Oh., also survives as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L., brothers: James, Orville, Clyde, Don, Bill, Dave and sister: Mildred Wolf.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service, on Wednesday, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio.  Reverend Robert Amey will officiate.  Burial will take place privately at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
