Wilma Ruth Harvey, 75, of Kent, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 8, 1938 in Kent, to Carl and Doris (Russell) Conaway. Wilma was a member and former Deacon of the Christian Life Center, Assembly of God Church in Kent. She loved her church family and was an active member before her illness. She was known for being a woman of God who was faithful to her friends and family. She was a caregiver to many. Ruth loved to bowl and spend time with and SPOIL her grand-kids.
She is survived by son, David (Melody) Harvey of Ravenna; daughter, Vicki (Dennis Conroy) Harvey of Kent; grandchildren, Benjamin Harvey, Johnathon Harvey, Charity (Richard) Russell and Tim (Jennifer) Werden; great grandchildren, Caleigh Russell, Dylan Werden, Chase Russell, Alexis Werden, Camden Werden; sisters, Lois Myers of Ravenna; aunt, Mildred Russell of Newcomerstown; sisters-in-law, Dee (Jim) Black of Kent and Ruby Dunn of Fairfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulbert Harvey; son, Carl Harvey; sisters, Carole Conaway, Grace Davis and Laura DiBlasio; brother, Charles Conaway.
Calling hours will be held 6-9 PM Wednesday, May 14th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 15th with Pastor Bruno Glodkowski and Lance Crowe officiating. I'm so very sorry for your loss of this precious woman! I worked with her at Longmeadow Care Center many years ago. She was INDEED a woman of God and I'm sure she sits at the great throne at HIS feet and is up there happy and healthy. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss.
