Benjamin Joseph Duffy

Benjamin Joseph Duffy, age 25 of Atwater, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 19, 2014.

He was born February 12, 1989, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Tammy (Duffy) Bencivengo and George Ferris. Ben attended Waterloo Schools and graduated from Maplewood Career Center in 2008. He was always a fun loving person who enjoyed cooking, Star Wars, and his tattoos. Ben worked for several local Gionino's Pizzerias and Harbor Freight in Streetsboro.

Ben is survived by his mother and step-father: Tammy (Robert) Bencivengo of Atwater, his father and step-mother: George (Denise) Ferris of Ravenna, half-sister: Morgan Ferris, grandparents: Jack and Faye Duffy of Rootstown and George and Sheila Ferris formerly of Ravenna, great-grandpa Leonard Winland of Rootstown, great-grandma Rose Duffy of Rootstown, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Jane Winland and great-grandfather John Duffy.

Friends will be received Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 5-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Thomas Acker, S.J., on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Randolph. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
