Glen R. Logan lived a full and varied life. He held many different positions during his working years including law enforcement as a deputy sheriff for Portage County, roofing, auto mechanic, and school janitor. He also willingly served his country in the United States Navy for 7 years on the U.S.S. Halsey, during the Korean War. His "working" didn't stop there though; many of his hobbies and pass times also involved working: woodworking, gardening, lawn work, and taking naps. He was also very involved with his local community and church wherever he lived: assisting neighbors, getting to know his neighbors, working in AWANA programs, and singing in the choir. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and VFW Post 4231. In the afternoon of May 19, 2014 at the age of 84, Glen's work in this world ended, as did his fight against cancer, and he went home to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean; parents, Edward and Ethel Logan; brothers, Roy, Paul, and Chuck; sister, Florence Bower.
He is survived by his children, Chris Logan, Connie Pedro, and Norma Bowers; brother, Carl Logan; grandchildren, Tim Logan, Matthew Pedro, Nicole Riley, Samantha Tester, and Travis Tester; great grandchildren, Taylor Logan, Jacob Logan, Dylan Pedro, and Vinny Riley.
