STOW- Shirley Soloveiko, age 78, of Stow, passed away Monday morning after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shirley was born August 24, 1935 in Youngstown to the late William and Bridget (Maine) Cellio
She was a graduate of Youngstown Chaney High School and Kent State University with a bachelor degree in Education. Shirley taught Second Grade for many years while raising her family, she later retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 20 years service in the Accounting department. She was a member of Holy Family Church where she sang in the Choir and the Mothers of Twins Club of Cuyahoga Falls.
Besides her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Leo Soloveiko, Jr. and her sister Loretta Richards.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Jackie (Bob) Dispenza, Ft. Wayne, IN, Theresa Malion of Akron, Diane Lambert of Kent, and son Leo Soloveiko, III of Silver Lake; 8 grandchildren, Justinian, Laurel, Kimberly, Paul, Christopher, Jared, Jessica, and Joshua; one great grandson Tristan. Brother William Cellio of Pittsburgh.
Friends may call Friday 6-9 PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home 3333 Kent Rd. (at St. Rt. 91) in Stow. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Saturday at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd. in Stow. Burial in Stow Cemetery.
