Harry "Junie" Alvin Swaney, 72, of Kent passed away peacefully on June 28, 2014. He was known for his incredible work ethic and worked most of his life in the rubber extrusion business. Later upon retirement he was an avid card player who especially loved euchre. He made and maintained many friendships throughout his years and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Junie was a loving father of three children, Sarah (Jonathan) Norsworthy of Kent, Michael (Michelle) Swaney of Charleston S.C., and Ryan Swaney of Kent. He leaves behind two granddaughters, Cadence and Ayslenn Swaney also of Kent. He is also survived by his siblings Judy (Thomas) Crocker, Jerry (Fran) Swaney, Raymond (Frankie) Swaney, and many extended family members.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, Harry and Julia Swaney, and sisters Edith Montgomery and Maryann Howe.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life on Saturday, July 5 at 10:30 am at Plum Creek Park in Kent. If desired, any condolences can be sent to 323 Cherry St.
