Robert C. Fisher of Salem, Ohio joined the band of angels who are watching over his beloved family on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the Salem Community Hospital. He was born on March 1, 1945 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of Everett and Ruby Eckels Fisher.
Bob enlisted into the United States Coast Guard on March 7, 1961 and he was honorably discharged on April 2, 1965.
He was the owner of Bob's Golf Cars in Berlin Center, Ohio.
He was the member of the Salem Hunting Club and the Amvets Post 45 where he served on the Honor Guard.
Cherished memories of Bob will be carried on by his wife, Joan Crowl Fisher, his daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Romine, his son, Robert (Amy) Fisher, his step-daughter, Jill (Carl) Curtis, his step-son, James (Roula) Weingart, his nine grandchildren and his great grandson.
Robert was preceded by his parents, Everett and Ruby, his grandson and his great grandson.
Honoring his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in the Hope Cemetery in Salem, Ohio. The Honor Guard of the Amvets Post 45 will hold a military service to honor his service to our country.
The family requests that material tributes may be made in memory of Robert to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements for Robert were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
