Dorothy Kirschner, 83 of Beloit, formerly of Palmyra, Ohio and Ocala, Florida, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Copeland Oaks Assisted Living in Sebring, Ohio. She was born May 4, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to Walter and Ruth (Fleming) Daily. Dorothy was a graduate of Turtlecreek High School and retired from the GE Lamp Plant in Ravenna. She loved her family, her farm in Palmyra and dogs and horses. Her retirement years were spent in Ocala, Florida with her beloved husband William. They moved back to Ohio last year to enjoy time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 64 years William, son Jerome, daughters Ruth (David) Craft, Chris (Robert) Hively and Cindy McCullough, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister Ruth Ann Martinelli and her cherished little dog Gidget. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark, sister Moonyeen and a brother Walter. Calling hours will be from 11 AM to time of service at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend William Snyder officiating. Entombment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, Ohio on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
