Raymond O. Doolittle, Sr., 78 years of age, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Nicut, West Virginia on May 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Rufus and Susie (Grady) Doolittle. A Garrettsville and Windham area resident the past 54 years, he had been employed for over 35 years at Harbinson-Walker Company from where he retired. A member of the Windham Church of the Nazarene, Mr. Doolittle enjoyed gardening, bowling and hunting. On August 2, 1958, he married Olena J. Doolittle who preceded him in death on May 11, 2013. Also preceding him were brothers Rufus, Everett, Jay and Paul. Survivors include his children Raymond Doolittle, Jr. of Garrettsville, Kathy (Rich) Waggoner of Windham and Linda Lovett of Newton Falls, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. A private burial will be held at Windham Township Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at the Windham Church of the Nazarene, 9749 East Center Street, Windham with Pastor Randy Kelley officiating. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
