MANTUA -- Mary Louise Stamm, 92, passed away Monday November 21, 2016 at her residence.
Mary was born in Kenmore, the daughter of the late Lucius and Edna (Rodhe) Converse. A lifetime resident of the Mantua area, she was a 1941 graduate of Shalersville School, following which she attended Baldwin-Wallace College graduating with a degree in Physics in 1946. She taught in the Crestwood School System, and welcomed exchange students into her home for many years. Mary was a member of Hilltop Christian Church, had been a 4-H Girls Advisor, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a Red Cross Swimming Instructor, and enjoyed traveling in her spare time.
Mary will forever be remembered for the love and attention she gave to all of her family members. On June 28, 1947, she married her beloved husband Roy Stamm who preceded her in death in 1991. Also preceding were her sisters Ruth Young and Virginia White. Survivors include her children, Ron (Tracy) Stamm and Gail Webbs, both of Mantua, and Elaine Pierce of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren George, Monte, Jesse, Adeanah, Lionel, Justin and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren Alanah and Aliyah.
No calling hours or services at this time A memorial service will be announced at a later date. A private family burial is taking place at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
