Janet L. Chronoski, 75, of Streetsboro, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at University Hospital in Ravenna. She was born September 20, 1941 in Indiana pa., to the late Carl L. Smith of Cleveland and Zula Henry Smith Toy of Cowansville, Pa.
Married on December 11, 1965, Janet is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years, Chester (Alf) Chronoski, daughter Cheri (Mark) Jones of Canton, and son Charles (Chuck) Chronoski, and special friend, Jeanette Chronoski, of Ravenna.
Her memory is cherished by her grandchildren Jennifer (James) Stout of Canton, Nicholas (Lacey) Jones of Dalton, and great- grandchildren, Zoe, Madison, Aidan, Jordan and Annabella.
She is also survived by sister, Nancy McAfoose of Indiana, Pa., brother, Jackson (Liz) Smith of Jefferson, brothers-in-law, Jake (Patsy) Chronoski, Edward (Jane) Chronoski, Richard Chronoski, sistera-in-law Florence Andrews and Betty Fancella, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Janet graduated from Indiana High School class of 1959. She was previously employed as a guidance counselor secretary for Streetsboro High School.
She was a hard worker who loved flowers and her serenity garden. She was artistically talented with stained glass and crocheting and enjoyed reading to family and friends. Janet was a caring person who celebrated special occasions giving cookies and cakes.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson, Cody Chronoski, granddaughter, Samantha Chronoski and great granddaughter, Olivia. Also, stepfather Truman Toy, sister, Barbara Hurley, sisters-in-law, Ester Kronoski, Stella Fedenick, brothers-in-law Franklin McAfoose, Herman Chronoski, and step brother, Jack Toy.
