Shirley Ann (Cady) McCauley, 82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at home.
She was born August 2, 1934 in Brimfield, to the late Earl and Bertha (Meloy) Cady. Shirley will be remembered as a spirted lady with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. She loved spending time with family and friends. Sharing a day with her sisters doing a little "retail therapy" was one of her favorite things. Her happiest times in recent years were spent camping at Alamo Lake with her husband Al. Shirley worked in the banking industry in both Ohio and Arizona retiring in 1999. Although Shirley lived in Phoenix for nearly 45 years, she always carried Ohio in her heart.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Al McCauley at home, children, Bill (Kate Zimmerman) Cheatwood of Boulder, CO, Linda (Carl) Morel of Amite, LA, Debby Carpenter of Phoenix, AZ, and Pam (Scott) Foster of Fountain Hills, AZ, grandchildren, Nichole and Bradley Foster of Phoenix, AZ, Mark, Timothy and Julie Morel of Amite, LA. Sisters, Virginia (late Dan) Brearley, Betty June (Glen) Arbogast, and Sharon (Carl) Thompson. Brothers, Robert Cady, Richard Cady and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husbands, William Cheatwood and Paul Ward, brother James Cady, sister Eileen Stiffler, granddaughter Rhiannon Carpenter.
Interment will be held at a later date in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Donations can be made to the The Salvation Army, 628 N. 3rd Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85003 in Shirley's name.
