On behalf of the 2012 Thanksgiving Brunch Bunch Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt "Thank you" to the community for its kindness and support of the 44th annual Brunch Bunch "fun-raiser" that took place Thanksgiving morning at the American Legion Underwood Hall to benefit Kent Social Services' hot meals program, the Lord's Pantry, Center of Hope, and Coleman Adult Day Care Services' food projects.
A special thank you goes out to lead auctioneer Mike Tontimonia and the guest auctioneers, KSU men's golf head coach Herb Page, KSU men's basketball head coach Rob Senderoff and the KSU men's basketball team. A special thank you also goes out to the KSU Golden Flashes Club; KSU Athletics; Mike Beder and Brian Bower of Cajun Dave's at The Water Street Tavern; Ashton Sound; The Rusty Nail; Chuck and Michelle Frederick and family; Christina Disantis, Falon Conti and Amy Savage of Five Guys Burgers & Fries; American Solutions for Business; Greg Musci; Jackie Parsons; Tracy Deep; Rob and Lori Wemhoff; Portage Community Bank; Hall-Green Agency; and Krispy Kreme Donuts.
A sincere thank you to the teamwork and commitment of the Brunch Bunch planning committee for their countless hours of planning, organizing and executing the event and to the many volunteers that give of their time and assisted the day of the event.
The Brunch Bunch raised over $35,000, and we sincerely appreciate the generosity we received from community members, organizations and businesses that donated items for the live auction or gave monetary donations in support of the cause.
The Brunch Bunch is an instrumental link in fulfilling a vital role of helping to improve the quality of life throughout Portage County, and we couldn't do it without the incredible support from our dedicated committee members, volunteers, and our community. It's this caring nature and giving with an open heart that makes this event so successful each year, and we are truly grateful for this support. Warmest wishes for a blessed and happy holiday season and all the best in the new year.
