Lovelight grateful for community support

Published:

It has been LoveLight, Inc.'s privilege as a non-profit organization to serve the people of our community for 17 years. On behalf of our board, I am writing to publicly thank the many people and groups who helped prepare our new office, located at 154 N. Water St. in Kent and those who have made financial and other contributions which have enabled our organization to recently initiate a unique educational service, Tutoring PLUS.

These benefactors include Advanced Display Systems, A.G.S. Carpet and Flooring, D & L Carpet, First Christian Church, Sue Nelson Designs, the Light Church, the Pan African Studies Department at Kent State, Phi Delta Kappa and the Unitarian Universalist Church.

Tutoring PLUS is designed to work with students, parents, and teachers to identify academic skill areas in need of improvement using MAP, a computer-adaptive assessment; strengthen these skill areas; identify and address underlying barriers to success, including physiological factors such as active primitive reflexes; and support the natural development of children, youth, and teens. Services are provided on a sliding scale.

If anyone would like more information regarding this or any of LoveLight's programs, please call us at (330) 673-5839. Donations to the program may be made to LoveLight,Inc. and sent to P.O. Box 123, Kent, Ohio. Thank you for your support.

Lisbeth (Betsy) Justice, Ph.D.

Executive Director, LoveLight, Inc.
