My name is Dan Boyle and I’m a 37 year resident of Brady Lake Village (BLV) in Portage County Ohio. For about 6 years I was an Unpaid BLV zoning inspector and worked on the BLV fire trucks for free. About 4 years ago I started telling how BLV was actually being operated especially the BLV fire department. The threats and retaliation for this truth telling are ongoing. I’m filing a lawsuit against BLV and the BLV officials including some BLV cops. My attorney for this lawsuit is Warner Mendenhall of Akron, Ohio.
To the Cleveland Browns. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Twitter seems to be the big thing now. For people to realize how important this new technology is, I may just have to open an account under hashtag Earth and tweet to my 7 billion friends, “Get a life.”
Does The Kent City School District require residency within the school district for its school board members? Or does that just mean you have to have a mailing address in Kent?
I want to thank the Record Courier for its regular feature, Saluting Sacrifice, spotlighting Portage County WWII veterans. The recognition these articles give to these veterans is so well deserved and so long overdue. My father, who passed away in 2002, was a WWII veteran and a friend of the veteran from Aurora whose service was highlighted recently. I truly enjoy these articles and can only hope you continue to write these articles long into the future. To all of you who have served, a heartfelt thank you! You, not the Hollywood celebrities, are the true heroes of our country and deserve to be honored through these write-ups!
There is an automotive junkyard located south of Randolph center that is located next to a wetlands area where the water supply of Ravenna flows nearby. Also allowing another junkyard to start up in a zoned residential area on the north end of the township just south of Basset road all this goes along with the junky general store south of town. Seems to a lot of residents are becoming fed up with township operations!
I was glad to see that we now have a special drug task force to clean up the heroin use here in Portage County. I have to wonder, though: I have called them several times about a local dealer and he still is out there serving these lost souls like he’s untouchable!! The first call was over 6 months ago and two recently.
I do see a Nativity set in the park at Brimfield. Look again.
In a recent Sound Off! someone stated that “a yield sign is the same as a stop sign.” While the other traffic does have the right of way, I don’t believe we are supposed to “stop” before entering the freeway. Every entrance ramp has a yield sign. And while we are on the subject I wish you idiots who get on the freeway at 40 mph instead of getting up to freeway speed for a smooth merge would go try that on the Autobahn. We’d have a few less idiots in the world.
Oops! I made a typo! It can happen to the best of us. I even proofread it. It should say “the Brimfield I LIVE in.”
