A question of transparency for Kent schools

Published:

Correct me if I am wrong...

Please explain to me or maybe I missed the communication that additional cost-saving measures were going to be outlined for the Kent school district in less than 12 months after the "few citizens" of Kent who choose to come out and vote for the school levy that many thought would bring in sufficient funds to get the school through for at least a few years?

Should more transparency have been revealed regarding the district's long-term capital funding position, especially in consideration of the current adverse impact to Stanton Middle School?

  • Ms. Daniels:  if you missed the communications, so did the rest of the voters, both for and against the school levy. No letters, no calls, no bulletins sent home, no articles in the paper or online that I saw.

I wonder if voters can ask to rescind a tax levy?
