OAR 2013 leadership selected

The 26,000-member Ohio Association of Realtors installed its 2013 Leadership Team of President Thomas J. Williams (Austintown), President-elect Chris Hall (Oregon), and Treasurer Greg Hrabcak (Westerville) during the organization's recent Winter Conference in Columbus.

Williams is the corporate trainer/masters education instructor for Northwood Realty Services in Youngstown. He also coordinates mergers and acquisitions for Northwood Realty. Williams previously served as president of the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors in 1999 and was honored as its "Realtor of the Year" in 1996 and again in 2003.

At the state level, Williams has served in a variety of leadership positions within the organization, highlighted by his term as president-elect (2012) and treasurer (2011).

Previously, he was OAR District 1 vice president (2008-09) and chaired numerous Association committees and forums, including the Appraisal Committee.

Nationally, he serves as a director for the National Association of Realtors and as a member of the State and Local Issues Policy Committee. Additionally, he holds NAR's Graduate Senior Appraiser designation.

Williams served as president of the Lowellville Board of Education, is a member of the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Austintown Growth Foundation.

President-elect Hall is vice president for Danberry Co. and manages its Oregon and Perrysburg offices. He previously served as president of the Toledo Board of Realtors in 2004 and was honored as its "Realtor of the Year" that same year.

At the state level, Hall has served in a variety of leadership positions within the organization. He served as OAR District 4 vice president (2008-11) and has chaired and served on an array of Association committees and forums, including the Strategic Planning, Local Government, Enlarged Legislative and Legislative Steering Committees.

Hall was appointed to the Education and Research Advisory Group by the Ohio Superintendent of Real Estate and Professional Licensing, serving until it was disbanded in 2009.

Nationally, Hall will be serving as an NAR director through 2015. He holds the CRB (Certified Residential Broker) designation offered by the organization.

Treasurer Hrabcak has been involved in the sale and leasing of commercial, industrial, investment and office real estate since graduating from The Ohio State University in 1984. He was an owner/principal in Group One Realty and currently a commercial broker with HER Commercial Real Estate.

On the local level, Hrabcak has served as president of many Columbus real estate organizations including the Columbus Board of Realtors (2008), the Columbus Commercial and Industrial & Investment Realtors (1993), the Ohio Business Brokers Association (1992), and the Columbus Real Estate Exchangers (1994).

At the state level, he served as district vice president (2011-12) and as an OAR director since 1999. Hrabcak has served as chair of a number of OAR committees, including Enlarged Legislative, Legislative Steering, Legal Action and Commercial Industrial, as well as the Local Government and Professional Standards Forums.

Nationally, he will be serving as a NAR director through 2016. Hrabcak is also serving as the 2013 chair of the NAR Commercial Real Estate Research Subcommittee and a member of the Commercial and Research Committees.

He is also the federal political coordinator for Congressman Pat Tiberi.

Hrabcak holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation offered by NAR and received the Columbus Board's $25 Million Dollar Award in 2011.

He also acts as a real estate class instructor and has developed programs for CBR, OAR and NAR, as well as instructed courses at Columbus State Community College.
