Streetsboro graduate Carrington Hanna named AcademicAll-American

Sioux Falls junior wide receiver Carrington Hanna, a Streetsboro High School graduate, was recently named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Second Team.

A pre-medicine major carrying a 3.42 grade-point average, Hanna topped Division II's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in both receptions (69) and yards per catch (13). He was second on the Sioux Falls team in touchdown catches (10), which included a career-long 61-yard score during his team's victory over MSU-Moorhead. In the same game, the former Rockets quarterback also showed off his arm with a 39-yard TD pass.

For the season, Hanna totaled 898 yards receiving and was named to the Second Team All-NSIC. He is the first player from Sioux Falls to ever be selected to the Academic All-America Team.
