Archer named FWAA First Team All-American

Kent State junior slotback Dri Archer was named to the Football Writers Association of America's All-American First Team on Friday.

The team is the second-longest continuously published team in major college football, dating back to 1944.

Archer, 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds, finished the season with 573 return yards on 15 attempts, including blurring touchdown returns of 98, 99 and 98 yards, respectively. He also rushed for 1,352 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He is the only player in the nation that has over 1,300 yards rushing and over 500 yards receiving for the season.
