WINDHAM 76, EAST CANTON 48

The unbeaten Bombers roared out of the gate, dominating both offensively and defensively, and coasted to a PTC County Division win over the host Hornets on Friday.

Windham (7-0, 4-0 PTC County) scored 18 points while holding East Canton (1-5, 1-3) to just a single bucket in the first eight minutes and pushed the lead to 38-13 at halftime, never letting the Hornets get anything going in the first half.

Sophomore Parker Rickey led four Bombers in double figures with a game-high 18 points. Also connecting for double-digits were Matt Knight (17 points), Cameron Pozsgai (14) and Jonah Konzen (10).

Hayden Miller buried five 3-pointers to lead East Canton with 17 points.

Next up for Windham is a road matchup with two-time defending state champion Berlin Hiland on Wednesday.

ICE HOCKEY

Weather impacted the Kent Roosevelt High School ice hockey game on Friday night against Mayfield, forcing it to be cancelled. The game was part of the team's annual Rough Rider Holiday Tournament at the Kent State University Ice Arena.

The cancellation forced a rescheduling of events for the weekend tournament that now looks as follows:

Saturday's Games: Kent Roosevelt vs. Mayfield, 10:30 a.m.; Mayfield vs. Normandy, 12:30 p.m.; Kent Roosevelt vs. Avon Lake, 2:15 p.m.

Sunday's Games: Kent Roosevelt vs. Normandy, 10 a.m.; Avon Lake vs. Mayfield, noon; Holiday Tournament Championship Game, 5 p.m.
