The Akron Aeros announced plans for a privately-funded $1.65 million new video board on Tuesday that is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2013 season. Located in left-centerfield, it will be the largest in Double-A baseball and fifth-largest in all of minor league baseball. It will have an active display area of 26 feet tall and 68 feet wide. "The video board is just part of our commitment to our fans and the city of Akron," Aeros owner Ken Babby said. "We are obsessed about giving our fans the very best experience possible and this is one of many new enhancements Aeros fans can look forward to in 2013."
